UK slavery in the 2020s
It could be happening all around us, yet we are often unaware of it. Based on police evidence, Justice & Care estimate that there are more than 100,000 victims of modern slavery in the UK. In a newly published report produced by Justice & Care, in collaboration with The Centre for Social Justice, there are claims that the issue of modern slavery is likely to intensify in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic and it is already costing the taxpayer many billions of pounds.
