Guidance: When a person is not following the guidelines on social distancing or self-isolating due to COVID-19

Friday 17 April | Please note this guidance is temporary unavailable as it is being updated. An updated version will be posted later today. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Today we publish guidance for professionals when a person is not following the guidelines on social distancing or self-isolating due to COVID-19.

This guidance applies when someone with care and support needs continues to go into the community and fails to respond to the government’s guidance about social distancing or self-isolating due to COVID-19 restrictions. This may be because they do not understand what they should do due to confusion, a mental health condition or learning difficulty. This guidance should be read in conjunction with the flow diagram at the back of the document.

Other safeguarding adults boards and organisations not based in Norfolk are welcome to adapt this guidance to suit their local needs. We just ask you credit Norfolk Safeguarding Adults Board (NSAB), thank you.
