Breckland: Local lottery proceeds helping to tackle abuse

The Daisy Programme, based in Watton Norfolk which supports men and women who have been affected by domestic abuse has announced it is to receive just under £2,600 from Breckland District Council's (BDC) Lottery funding, the lottery game set-up by BDC to help promote and fund local charitable, sporting and community groups.

The Daisy Programme, offers one to one support, individual counselling, group counselling and a 'Freedom Programme' - a 10 week course that looks at perpetrator behaviour and warning signs to look out for in future relationships. Daisy also deliver a confidence course, over 8 weeks which looks at building self-esteem and confidence.

The Breckland Lottery was set up in 2018 by Breckland Council. Tickets cost £1 each, with 50p going direct to the player's charity or community group of choice.
