7 minute briefings – what topics would be helpful?
One of our key priorities is to support our network partners in their safeguarding work with clear information and guidance.
To help this we have just added a ‘7 minute briefing’ about Safeguarding Adult Reviews to our website.
The 7 minute briefing is a technique borrowed from the FBI. Learning for 7 minutes is manageable in most services and makes information simple to remember. The short briefings hold people’s attention, as well as giving managers something to share with their staff. Clearly the briefings won’t have all the answers, but it is hoped that they will act as a catalyst to help teams and managers reflect on their practice and systems.
What other briefing topics would be useful? Please email your suggestions to firstname.lastname@example.org
PS - Don’t forget that NSAB has a range of safeguarding materials, including leaflets (in various formats), posters and pens – everyone loves a pen! You can download the leaflets and posters from safeguarding page on the Health Information Leaflet Service (HILS).
