Safeguarding Adults from Exploitation
This is a half day, face-to-face training session suitable for assistant practitioners, apprentice social workers, social workers, occupational therapists, occupational therapy assistants as well as any employee or volunteer from private, voluntary or independent organisations in the county of Norfolk. It follows on from the 'Safeguarding Adults Awareness training.
The aim of this half day course will focus on the types of adult exploitation: how adults can be forced, or enticed, into criminal activities through manipulation, or threats of violence; vulnerabilities to exploitation; how exploitation is sustained by the abuser(s) and the signs which will alert practitioners to the risks of a person being exploited.
