Violence Reduction Coordinator for Norfolk

Norfolk’s County Community Safety Partnership (CCSP) is seeking to recruit a Violence Reduction Coordinator to develop and drive delivery of the multi-agency response necessary to tackle increasing County Lines activity in Norfolk.

As in many other parts of the country, Norfolk is seeing increasing County Lines activity from London-based drugs gangs who are recruiting children and vulnerable adults to develop local drug markets. This relies upon the use of high levels of violence to maintain market share and coerce the workforce. There are significant implications for safeguarding, criminal and sexual exploitation, modern slavery and missing persons.

This is a high-profile role, responsible for championing the coordination and communication all aspects of County Lines work in Norfolk.  This approach will develop Norfolk’s response to violence reduction and prevention, ensuring this is evidence-based so that risk factors are fully understood, enabling appropriate responses to be deployed.
Working with partners, the Coordinator will review the County Lines strategy and action plan for Norfolk, providing day to day coordination of delivery across Norfolk’s local authorities and their statutory and non-statutory partnerships. You will need to be politically astute with a good understanding of the wider political landscape.
