Highly recommended - Safeguarding Know How for Provider Managers training

Safeguarding adults training is delivered by Norfolk County Council's (NCC) provider, St Thomas Training. This training is open to staff and volunteers from all agencies working with adults at risk of harm.

One of the courses on offer is Safeguarding Know How for Provider Managers. This two-day course enables managers in the voluntary, private and independent sectors to fulfil their safeguarding responsibilities effectively and work with their partners in the statutory sector to achieve, wherever possible, the outcomes service users wish to achieve for themselves.

Denise Forder (Head of Service - Norfolk First Response) Adult Social Services recently attended this course and got in touch with the board to say:

“I recently attend the Safeguarding Know How for Provider Managers. What an excellent training course for providers. The course was facilitated by Karen Patterson, who was not only knowledgeable but an exceptional trainer and the 2 days went so quickly. I also learnt so much from the other managers attending. The structure of the course meant we had many opportunities to work in groups to discuss operational pressures and I gained so much knowledge. I would highly recommend all provider managers to attend this excellent course”.

Delegates must have previously completed safeguarding adults awareness training and Mental Capacity Act training to level one as a minimum.

The course is free to NCC staff. The cost for employees of private, voluntary and independent sector care providers is £100.00 including VAT per person.

If you book 3 places at the same time (either on the same session, or on different sessions) then the third place is FREE!
