Support is here for you: Message from the Norfolk Resilience Forum

For anyone in Norfolk who is struggling as a shielding or vulnerable adult during the Government’s lockdown in response to COVID-19 help and support is available across the county.

Together local councils have contacted all 23,878 residents who are shielding, with information on how to gain extra support. By district, this divides up as follows:

  • Breckland Council – 3647
  • Broadland and South Norfolk District Council – 6903
  • Great Yarmouth Borough Council – 2872
  • King’s Lynn and West Norfolk Council – 4293
  • Norwich City Council – 2993
  • North Norfolk District Council – 3170

In addition to the Government allocation of emergency ‘Boris boxes’ and deliveries being made by local hubs, the Norfolk Resilience Forum has also provided 1,442 emergency food boxes to shielding residents and 613 to vulnerable residents across the county.

Thank you to everyone involved in this significant effort to get support and help to those who need it.

If any of these residents are in need of an emergency food box or any other supplies, they should call Norfolk County Council on 0344 800 8020.
