Statutory homelessness figures for April to June 2019 for England published

The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government have published the homelessness figures for April to June 2019.

The figures show the number of households assessed by Local Authorities as either homeless or threatened with homelessness has increased by 11.4% from April to June 2018 to 68,170 this quarter. There is evidence of growing numbers of homeless people who increasingly experience abuse, exploitation and neglect, escalating health and care needs and reduced life expectancy [1].
