Norfolk research study - older people who have self-neglect and hoarding needs. Can you help?

  • Do you work in health, social care or housing?
  • Do you have experience of working with older people who have self-neglect and hoarding needs?
  • Would you like to help inform future development of services and support in Norfolk?

As part of his Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship Chris Scott, Assistant Director, Norfolk County Council Community Commissioning for Adult Social Services, is conducting a research study into understanding the strengths and limitations of the support available for practitioners, from the key agencies of health, social care and housing, who work with older people living in Norfolk who have identified self-neglect and hoarding needs.

If you are interested in sharing your experiences and perspectives in this area, please contact Chris Scott at [email protected] by the 29th January 2021.
Please send an email, including the organisation you work for, your job role and to confirm you have experience of working with older people who have Self-Neglect and Hoarding needs.

The research will involve a one to one interview which will take no longer than one hour and due to be conducted in early February.

Please do get in contact at the email address supplied, should you have any further questions about this important opportunity.

The Norfolk Safeguarding Adults Board is supportive of this study and positively encourages colleagues and partner organisations to get involved. Thank you.
