Lords debate domestic abuse support

On Thursday 22nd March Peers debated support for survivors of domestic abuse (22nd March), following the launch of a consultation which sets out the Government’s strategy. (See news item 8th March - Tagging plan for domestic abuse suspects in draft bill).

Government’s allocation of £8 million towards support for children who witness domestic abuse.

The Local Government Association (LGA) have produced a really helpful briefing which highlights the importance of early intervention initiatives targeted at children who witness domestic violence.
