London records tenfold rise in modern slavery cases
There has been a more than tenfold increase in the number of people identified as victims of modern slavery and human trafficking in London, with more than 30% of all cases nationally discovered in the capital, research shows.
In London in 2018, the Metropolitan police recognised 2,346 people as victims of modern slavery, compared with 187 in 2013, analysis of government data by the London assembly reveals. It's not just in the capital that modern slavery is a real and growing concern.
In Norfolk a large number of agencies and services are working hard to end slavery in Norfolk.
