Legal update sessions with Tim Spencer-Lane
Tim Spencer-Lane is a lawyer who specialises in mental capacity, mental health and social care law. He currently works for the Government Legal Department (Department of Health and Social Care) where he advises on mental capacity and mental health law.
On Wednesday 16 December, 10am - 12.30pm, Tim will be providing an update on Deprivation of Liberty in community settings which, amongst other items, will cover the responsibilities of deputies and how the Liberty Protection Safeguards will reform the system.
On Monday 1 February 2021, 10am - 12.30pm, Tim will provide an update on the interface between the Mental Health Act 1983 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
