Increased threat of courier fraud
Norfolk Constabulary are currently dealing with a large number of courier fraud incidents. These are where fraudsters pretend to be police officers in order to scam members of the public into handing over large sums of money.
The fraudsters mostly target older people, possibly because they are likely to be accepted for credit and secondly, as they may have a large retirement or pension fund.
