Please don’t miss this opportunity to talk directly with Norfolk’s health and social commissioners about what lockdown has been like for people with learning disabilities or autism and their families.
A live Facebook Q&A session has been organised by About with Friends (AWF) for this Friday (21st August), starting at 2pm.
During lockdown AWF have been keeping in touch with members and their families with daily ‘live feeds’. So far, they have done 104 shows, getting 45,000 hits. This has captured lots of families’ experiences. To build on this, AWF have created a questionnaire (agreed with the commissioners) which has been shared with other services. Lots of people have already answered the questionnaires and AWF will be doing some analysis of the responses.
AWF and Norfolk’s health and social care commissioners are really keen to find out more about the effect of the COVID situation on people with learning disabilities and autism. They want to get a wide response from people of all ages and their carers, from right across Norfolk.
This is where the live Facebook chat comes in.
AWF members and staff will be hosting the session on their Facebook page this Friday and everyone is welcome to join in.
