Domestic abuse service in Thetford

Based at The Crossing in Thetford, the Access Community Trust (ACT) is now offering specialised support services to both men and women who are suffering domestic abuse. Specially trained staff can offer one-to-one personalised and confidential advice, guidance and support and they can signpost to the relevant agencies. ACT staff can also complete a DASH risk assessment and offer training programmes including the Freedom Programme and Escape the Trap.

Alongside their domestic abuse service ACT can also provide support in all other areas, such as housing and run regular workshops on topics such as confidence, stress, healthy relationships, positive parenting. ACT staff work closely alongside other services including the Breckland Housing team, homelessness officers, police, employment and volunteering services. ACT have started working with Survivors in Transition and will be able to offer to support to survivors of childhood sexual abuse.
