Norfolk's Domestic Abuse Champions Network has received national recognition!

Huge congratulations to everyone involved in our outstanding work to combat domestic abuse in Norfolk – which won the Public Health category award at the Municipal Journal’s (MJ) Local Government Achievement Awards on Wednesday night (27 June).

This is great example of partnership working and highlights how Norfolk is becoming a leader in this field, particularly through our Domestic Abuse (DA) Champions in the community – people in frontline roles, such as nurses, dentists, education staff, social workers and many, many others, who are given free 2 day comprehensive training to recognise signs of abuse and know where to go to for help and support. We have reached a milestone of training approximately 1100 DA Change Champions!

If you work in Health or Education and would like to find out more about being a DA Change Champions for your team please click here.
