Domestic Abuse Change Champions Annual Conference - a big success

The Domestic Abuse Change Champions Annual Conference took place at City College Norwich on Wednesday, October 24th. Guest speakers at this year’s event included psychotherapist and domestic abuse trainer Cathy Press, former CPS Chief Crown Prosecutor Nazir Afzal OBE, and Rizzle Kicks’ Jordan Stephens.

Cllr Andrew Proctor, Leader of Norfolk County Council, said: “There is some exceptional work being done in Norfolk to tackle domestic abuse, and events like this are an effective way of sharing knowledge to continue the progress being made.”

The event was opened and closed by the High Sheriff of Norwich, Charles Watt who also gave an Outstanding Achievement Award to two DA Champions who have worked incredibly hard to transform the response to domestic abuse in James Paget and the Norfolk and Norwich Hospitals.

The Conference was a great success and highlights all the positive work that is being done by DA Champions across the county.
