Date for the diary: Tackling modern-day slavery debate

There will be a Westminster Hall debate on tackling modern-day slavery on Tuesday 9 October 2018 at 6.30pm. The Member leading the debate is Gareth Snell MP.

On 30 July, the Home Office announced plans to launch an independent review of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. The review is being led by the rt hon. Frank Field MP, the rt hon. Maria Miller MP and the rt hon. Baroness Butler-Sloss. The introduction of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, the first legislation of its kind in the world, has helped to transform the UK’s response to modern slavery.
