The Care Quality Commission (CQC) have recently added an additional prompt to the Statutory Notification abuse form.
This is important information all organisations regulated by CQC.
The aim is to reduce the amount of follow up work CQC need to do with providers. These are interim changes, which form part of a larger piece of work. Registered providers MUST notify CQC of certain changes events and incidents that affect their service or the people who use it, this includes allegations of abuse.
To make it easier for providers to understand what CQC need to know when they notify the regulator and to help CQC capture additional, more detailed information additional prompts have been added to the form. Here is a link to the Allegations of abuse form:
The new prompt question is number 13. This change is intended to reduce the need for us to contact you to obtain more information by ensuring we have all relevant facts at the earliest opportunity.
