Coronavirus: Rough sleeping

The Independent reports today that an estimated 1,000 people remain on the streets, according to the charity Crisis, despite a considerable number of rough sleepers having been rehoused across the country.

The Government wrote to local councils in England on 27 March saying they must find accommodation for all rough sleepers by that weekend as part of efforts to contain the spread of coronavirus.
