Concerns about surge in COVID-19 hate crimes

Sky News have reported police chiefs have warned that they will 'respond robustly' to anti-Chinese hate crimes as the COVID-19 Anti-Racism Group (CARG) highlighted worrying levels of hate speech online linked to the pandemic.

An NHS nurse in the East Midlands had racist profanities shouting at him last weekend, with many fearing this behaviour could turn to violence when restrictions are eased.
