It’s been a busy couple of months for NSAB. Here are the headlines for some of our main pieces of work and key activities:
the Self-neglect and Hoarding Strategy has been updated with a number of changes. Version 2.1 is now available on the NSAB website. All partners are asked to download the latest version and share it with staff and colleagues. We also have a 3 minute video (thanks to help from colleagues at Broadland Housing Group), which gives information on the key strategy features – great to show at a team meeting.
NSAB’s new subgroups – the Prevention, Managing and Responding and Learning Lessons subgroups are set to have their first meeting on Thursday 01 August. What is exciting about the new way of working is that rather than have the 3 subgroups meeting separately, we will have all 3 subgroups meeting on the same day, in the same room, at the same time and all working on the same adult safeguarding problem. The first meeting will focus on mental capacity and safeguarding.
Fantastic news – on Saturday 22 June NSAB reached 1,001 followers on Twitter. We continue to develop our use of Twitter to get safeguarding information and messages out and find out what is going on in the wider adult safeguarding network. Follow NSAB on Twitter - @NorfolkSAB to keep up to date with the latest adult safeguarding news. Please encourage partners you work with to follow us too.
