We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced professional to help shape the future of adult safeguarding across Norfolk. The Deputy Board Manager will work closely with the board manager, the chairperson, board members and organisations and services across Norfolk to deepen and enhance our future adults safeguarding practice.

You will work alongside NSAB’s Locality Safeguarding Adults Partnership (LSAPs) chairs to grow and extend the work of the partnerships; to maximise reach and engagement; and develop and lead work to deliver the quality assurance framework to support the SAB work across the partners.

You will need to have extensive knowledge of adult safeguarding issues including a significant working knowledge of the current statutory framework for health and social care provision and relevant legislation. You will have proven leadership and influencing skills that will equip you for this high-profile role in support of our safeguarding partners.

You will have the ability to chair multi-agency adult safeguarding meetings, think creatively and with a commitment to positive person focussed outcomes for vulnerable adults. With evidence of building and sustaining productive working relationships you will have worked with a range of agencies including commissioning, health, police, local authority and external providers working with adults Your professional background and qualifications (including registration with a professional body as appropriate) could be in health, social care or policing.

You will require excellent written and verbal communication and networking skills, the ability to deal with complex information in a fast-moving environment, coupled with experience of using social media and other information technology to reach the widest possible audience.

The nature of this position will require references and relevant security checks.
