Adult social services is the lead organisation in preventing and identifying possible abuse and, as part of this work, it hosts the Norfolk Safeguarding Adults Board.
The board has an overarching responsibility for protecting adults from abuse, reducing the risk of abuse, and supporting people to stop abuse where it happens.
The board is made up of partner agencies, including representatives from: acute hospitals, adult social services, police, CCGs, Norfolk Fire & Rescue, Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Norfolk, district councils, probation service, public health, University of East Anglia, Healthwatch, the voluntary sector and a local councillor.
