West Norfolk: Careline hoax visitor
Borough Council of King's Lynn & West Norfolk has received a report that someone impersonated a Careline installer to fraudulently gain entry to an elderly person's home. The police have been made aware of this.
The borough council provides a community alarm service via their Careline Community Service team. Careline Installers only attend arranged appointments, and they will have a borough council ID badge, a uniform, and a borough council vehicle.
The current servicing and maintenance provider is Monarch Eastern; they will also carry identification.
If you have any concerns about someone who comes to your home and claims to be representing Careline, please either activate your alarm unit or call 01553 616200.
