#UnlockTheDoors of modern slavery
Help support a new campaign from Justice & Care to unlock the doors of modern slavery.
For six weeks we have faced the challenges of lockdown. But even as restrictions start to relax in the coming days and weeks, tens of thousands of people will remain locked-down. These are the UK victims of human trafficking - enslaved, exploited and abused across our country. Women raped in brothels, children abused online, men exploited on construction sites, car washes and farms. They are often held in violent and vile conditions, deprived of basic necessities. Lockdown is a daily reality for them.
Justice & Care have developed a new campaign with pro bono help from the team behind the John Lewis Christmas adverts. Here are 3 things we all can do to support #UnlockTheDoors of slavery:
- Take a picture of yourself outside a door with an #UnlockTheDoors sign (make your own, or click here to download and print )
- Post on your social media channels with the hashtag #UnlockTheDoors and tag @justiceandcare or send your photo to [email protected]
- Justice & care will collect all your posts together and deliver the montage to the UK government
