SAR Andrew published today
The Norfolk Safeguarding Adults Board has today published SAR Andrew.
Andrew lived alone in cluttered and unsanitary conditions and experienced ongoing health difficulties, including Type 2 diabetes and the effects of daily alcohol consumption. During the year before his death, he was admitted to hospital on five occasions.
Several agencies were involved in supporting Andrew and concerns about self-neglect were raised. However, he often declined support and disengaged from services, accepting only limited assistance.
