Ombudsman domestic abuse guidance

The Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman has issued guidance to help domestic abuse survivors. It has called on councils to examine the services they provide to victims of domestic abuse, such as through housing and homelessness services, children’s safeguarding or to adults at risk of abuse or neglect.

16 Days of Action

The 16 Days of Action campaign has started, focused on raising awareness about violence against women and girls (VAWG), and aimed at businesses to support them to take action against domestic abuse and violence. Running from 25 November to 10 December, a theme will be identified each day to explore various forms of domestic violence, so all workplaces will be better equipped to understand the signs and provide support.

If you’d like to take part, you can find more on the 16 Days of Action website.
