NSAB to publish two Safeguarding Adults Review in the new year

The Norfolk Safeguarding Adults Board (NSAB) is to publish two Safeguarding Adults Reviews as a single report in January 2019.

At an extraordinary meeting on Wednesday 11 September 2019, the Board considered and agreed in full, the report and its recommendations. These two reviews relate to the deaths of a female and a male, who coincidentally died at the same care home – but who were not connected in any other way.

The recommendations from these reviews will provide Norfolk with valuable learning regarding the care of people with dementia in care settings, where mental ill health is also of concern.

Comprehensive action planning has been underway since the report was approved, to establish how the Board and its partners will address the recommendation.

In considering the publication date for the report, the Board has been mindful of the anniversaries of the deaths of the two people – one in early November and the other at the end of January. The has therefore provisionally agreed to publish the report and accompanying information in mid-January 2020.

Please watch the website and social media for further details.
