NSAB launches new volunteer scheme
Today Norfolk Safeguarding Adults Board (NSAB) launches a rewarding volunteer scheme called Safeguarding Friends (SGF).
Safeguarding Friends (SGF) is a new scheme to provide ‘safeguarding conversations’ with people living in care settings. SGF is a group of volunteers who approach and visit residential care establishments to talk directly to residents, either with or without family members, about the 10 types of abuse.
As part of SGF, you will be enhancing the knowledge of residents, and others, to make informed decisions about their lives. You will also play a vital part in helping the Norfolk Safeguarding Adults Board (NSAB) to inform adults in receipt of care services and their families about safeguarding.
