NSAB is seeking a specialist MCA consultant
The Norfolk Safeguarding Adults Board is seeking 'Expressions of Interest' for a specialist Mental Capacity Act consultant. This role will support the consistent, lawful and person-centred application of the Mental Capacity Act 2005, across Norfolk.
The consultant will provide expert advice, guidance, coaching and supervision on complex MCA and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards issues. A key objective is to develop communities of practice, forums or networks that promote shared learning and problem solving. We're looking for an individual who can help shape this initiative to strengthen the safeguarding partnership.
Working across the Norfolk Integrated Care System, the role will engage with health, social care and partner agencies, particularly care providers, to build confidence and consistency in MCA practice. Responsibilities include identifying gaps, developing resources, supporting practitioners and embedding learning from reviews and audits.
The job specification can be found here. Closing date is Sunday 25 January 2026.
