Murals at Brundall Care Home help residents
An innovative approach at Brundall Care Home (Belvoir Healthcare Ltd) is helping reduce anxiety and distress of residents who may attempt to leave the home without support. As part of the home's work to develop person-centred care they have painted murals on the exit doors.The home's front door depicts a flower shop entrance, there is a sunset scene at the side entrance door and the exit door at the further end of the building depicts a blossom tree and woodland.
The murals have also become a talking point with residents’ families and professionals alike. (The fire officer has signed off the painting of the doors and included them in the fire risk).
