Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE) have updated their guide on the Liberty Protection Safeguards (LPS). LPS will replace the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS).
In advance of a government consultation, SCIE have updated our LPS hub with resources about Liberty Protection Standards, including a briefing for health and social care staff.
This briefing provides an overview of the Liberty Protection Safeguards (LPS), which will replace the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS). It summarises LPS and describes what is going to change, what is going to stay the same, and what health and social care staff can do to prepare for the changes.
