Learning Disability Week 2025
Join NHS England for Learning Disability Week 2025, running from Monday 16 June to Friday 20 June. This year's theme, 'Do you see me?,' focuses on ensuring people with a learning disability are seen, heard and valued. The week will showcase the incredible contributions of people with a learning disability to our society.
The East of England regional learning disability and autism team is partnering with ICBs to highlight their work in improving health outcomes for individuals with a learning disability. A series of insightful webinars will explore different health and social care priorities. Key partners will share inspiring examples of service improvements and positive changes they've implemented.
What to Expect
Webinars will cover a range of important topics, including:
- Frailty focus: discussions on fire safety with emollients and postural support
- Restore 2 mini: key insights and updates
- Oliver McGowan: a successful partnership between an ICB and training providers
- Opening session: featuring self-advocacy partners who will present their valuable work in the region.
The webinars are designed for anyone who supports people with a learning disability and/or autistic people.
They will also be celebrating Autistic Pride Day on 18 June, recognising the significance of pride for autistic people and its role in driving positive societal change.
