Inter-professional guidance on adult safeguarding
The first ever document to provide inter-professional guidance on adult safeguarding has been published. The development of the document titled: Adult Safeguarding: Roles and Competencies for Health Care Staff, was led by the Royal College of Nursing (with the involvement of 30 other organisations), at the request of NHS England. The guidance covers anybody over age 18 who is considered to be at risk of abuse, harm or neglect because of their need for care and/or support.
