FREE 90-minute SPOT (Suicide Prevention – Overview Tutorial) online

PAPYRUS has been commissioned by Norfolk County Council Public Health to deliver fully funded suicide prevention training to organisations who come into contact with vulnerable people aged 18+ across Norfolk.

As part of this offer, PAPYRUS are delivering FREE 90-minute SPOT (Suicide Prevention – Overview Tutorial) online.

What EVERYONE needs to know..

You don’t need to be a mental health professional to help prevent suicide. Spot gives everyone the knowledge and confidence to understand the impact of suicide, use the right language and connect people to support.

Key objectives:

  • The prevalence and impact of suicide and why it matters
  • The language around suicide. What to say, what to avoid, and why the words we use make a real difference
  • How to recognise the signs that someone could be thinking about suicide and connect people to sources of support in your community
  • How you can contribute to building a suicide safer community. Wherever you live, work or spend your time

The training is suitable for anyone in the community who wants to learn more.
