Vacancy: Norfolk Safeguarding Children Partnership Safer Programme Co-Ordinator

Norfolk Safeguarding Children Partnership (NSCP) is an inter-agency organisation tasked with coordinating and evaluating partner agencies work in respect of safeguarding children. The Safer Programme is part of the NSCP with a focus on supporting and delivering training to the voluntary, community and sports sectors.

As Safer Programme Co-Ordinator you will be responsible for the day to day management of the NSCP Safer Programme.

You will use your knowledge and experience of safeguarding children to respond proactively to emerging themes by designing and delivering training and guidance using your excellent knowledge of safeguarding children policies and procedures. You will provide guidance to member organisations on their safeguarding children policies and procedures.

With a relevant degree and post qualification experience of working in a role involving multi-agency safeguarding children work, you will be passionate about ensuring the children’s workforce have the required knowledge and skills to enable them to effectively work with children, young people and families and that voluntary, community and sports groups have processes in place to keep children safe.

You will have excellent communication and people skills and will use these to build and maintain relationships with Safer trainers, Safer Programme members, clients and multi-agency partners across Norfolk. The ability to travel is essential. You will be able to work independently, as well as in a team, and prioritise and time-manage your workload appropriately.
