Creating an emergency care plan

Adult carers, who are caring for someone over the age of 18, are asked to think about creating an emergency plan that sets out what will happen to the person you care for, in case you are suddenly not able to care for them at any point in the future.

Carers can create a plan online and the information includes:

  • Details about the person you care for
  • The things you do to help them
  • Names of emergency contacts

Once completed you will be sent a carer's emergency card (the size of a credit card), which you should carry with you at all times.

You can read more on the Norfolk County Council website, along with details of how to register.
