CQC reviewing how it regulates duty of candour
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) are currently carrying out a review of how they regulate the legal duty of candour. They would like to get feedback from providers and a short survey will be open until 12 October.
The duty of candour is a legal duty to be open and honest with users of services or their families when something goes wrong that appears to have caused, or could lead to, significant harm in the future. It applies to all health and social care organisations registered with the Care Quality Commission.
