Coronavirus - scam alerts plus updates from Norfolk County Council

During the current Coronavirus outbreak we want to help keep everyone up to date by highlighting scams which are using the current situation as part of their approach. For example a Norfolk COVID Facebook support group has highlighted an incident for one 73 year old gentleman had the 'police' knock on the door saying that they were checking to make sure elderly and vulnerable people were complying with quarantine measures. Luckily this gentleman shut the door on them and a relative rang the police to check and they have taken all the details. In West Sussex a man has appeared in court charged with selling counterfeit Coronavirus treatment kits. Clearly these incidents are escalating and add another dimension to families anxieties and the vulnerable adults in our communities .

Norfolk Trading Standards have published the following scams alerts on their webpage. Please share safely with your family, neighbours and friends.
