Clarion Housing Group develops new Safeguarding Champions role

Clarion Housing Group has developed a new Safeguarding Champions role for the organisation. With oversight from the Clarion Board and leadership from their group executive team, staff have been appointed into this new role from across the organisation.

The Safeguarding Champions are responsible for delivering team briefings, identifying training opportunities, promoting effective safeguarding practice, supporting colleagues and cascading helpful and informative up-dates from external sources and experts.

This is a great example of how Clarion Housing is taking forward its commitment to working with statutory partners to embed safeguarding practices and awareness at all levels within their organisation. This in turn helps support Clarion's commitment to build strong, resilient communities. This new approach to safeguarding allows them to ensure residents, volunteers, service users and staff have an informed approach to safeguarding, and allows the organisation to continually learn and improve the way it works.

If you would like to find out more about Clarion Housing's safeguarding work, please contact Nick Bennett, Housing Services Manager, Clarion Housing [email protected]

Please get in touch to tell us what your organisation or service is doing to take forward adult safeguarding for Norfolk.
