Calls to modern slavery helpline up 25%

Calls to the UK Modern Slavery Helpline and Resource Centre are up by 25% on the previous year. This sheds light on the sheer scale of modern slavery in the UK and the latest report from helpline give the following:

• 1,812 Modern Slavery cases raised
• 4,739 potential victims indicated
• 318 potential victims indicated as children, more than 7% of the total
