Breckland Council agree £1m investment in preventing homelessness
Breckland Council has agreed to invest over £1m in providing new temporary accommodation to help meet the needs of those who experience homelessness in the district and keep families together.
The council currently has 14 units providing temporary housing and, when these are filled, families are placed in B&B accommodation. This type of accommodation is often not suitable for families, and is costly. The additional provision will reduce the council's reliance on B&Bs while providing better support for those in need.
